Urban Rhythms
This is one of my latest explorations in the realm of painting and collage—an evolving journey where I’m blending new materials with familiar inspirations. The piece draws from my deep affection for the shapes, patterns, and rhythms found in urban facades—those layered, often overlooked architectural surfaces that tell quiet stories of place and time.
Much like my photography, which has long focused on framing fragments of the built environment, this work plays with structure and visual texture. In fact, several elements of the piece are literal fragments—photographic prints of my own images, cut, arranged, and integrated into the composition.
There’s no hidden symbolism or mystical meaning here. Instead, it’s a visual rhythm built from instinct—an intuitive exploration of space, color, balance, and movement. It’s both a study in abstraction and a subtle narrative stitched together through form and familiarity. In many ways, it’s simply a reflection of how I see and respond to the world around me.
